What is in the box:

  • 3x Pre-cut 12x12inches cotton fabric squares
  • 2x Mending bars
  • 1x Brush
  • 2x Baking papers
  • Guided instructions & video link

What you will need at home:

  • Oven, oven mitts & baking tray
  • Iron, ironing board
  • Knife to chop the wax into smaller pieces
  • Pinking shears (optional)
  • Silicone baking mat (optional).
You can replace baking paper with reusable silicone baking mat. These are great because you can peel the hardened wax right off the mat when you are done, no waste!

Instruction for oven method (recommended):

  • Preheat your oven to 80C (try not to exceed 100C as beeswax quality will deteriorate if temperature exceeds this).
  • Iron fabrics to smoothen out any creases and folds.
  • Chop the mending bar into small pieces and sprinkle evenly over the wrap. We recommend 15g (1/4 of a bar) for a medium sized fabric.
  • Line a baking tray with baking paper and place the fabric on top.
  • Place the tray into the oven for 5 minutes or until the wax has fully melted.
  • Put on your oven mitts and remove tray from oven. Brush to evenly spread the wax.
  • Put the tray back into the oven until the wax has fully remelted.
  • Remove tray from oven. With clean hands - quickly lift the top two corners of the wrap and peel it entirely away from the baking paper. Be careful, it’s hot!
  • Keep holding the two corners of the wrap until the wax is cool.
  • Your wrap is now ready for use.

If you do not have an oven at home:

  • Set your iron to medium heat with steam function off.
  • Iron fabrics to smoothen out any creases and folds.
  • Line ironing board with old tea towel or silicone baking mat to protect excess wax from staining the ironing board.
  • Place baking paper and fabric on top.
  • Chop the mending bar into small pieces and sprinkle evenly over the wrap. We recommend 15g (1/4 of a bar) for a medium sized wrap.
  • Place another sheet of baking paper on top.
  • Using your iron, gradually spread the wax as evenly as possible all over the fabric as it melts - making sure the edges are covered. Keep your iron moving slowly so you don’t burn the fabric or the wax. Pause and add more wax if needed.
  • While it is hot, peel the baking sheet away and quickly lift the top two corners of wrap and peel it entirely away from the baking paper. Be careful, it’s hot!
  • Keep holding the two corners of the wrap until the wax is cool.
  • Your wrap is now ready for use.
